EyePrescription.com was started as a convenience for
anyone who wears eyeglasses or contact lenses or wants to learn more about
their eyeglass prescriptions. In the course of seeing patients, a very
common question at the end of the visit is, “What does my eye prescription
mean?”
This site is designed to answer that question. It is
NOT meant to replace a dialogue with your eye care provider. Any information
found here is NOT diagnostic and is only for general information.
One of the things that many eye glass or contact lens
prescription wearers fear is that while traveling away from home, they might
lose their glasses or contacts. They would then face getting a new eye exam
in an unfamiliar place and receiving a new prescription, which might or
might not be as clear and comfortable as their old one.
